After attempting to sign up for TELUS Internet 150 to get away from Shaw's horrible internet service and pricing, we're about ready to give up. I'm not sure what others have encountered, but we've had nothing but issues trying to sign up for TELUS services.
We initially placed an order for Internet 150 on September 23rd using the online order form, and received a call the same day notifying us that our address is not in their system and that they will add it and call us back within 24 to 48 hours. Skip forward to the 29th, after many unsuccessful phone calls, to the email we received: "We'd like to inform you that the request to add your address on our database was completed. However, we're sad to inform you that TELUS services are currently unavailable in your area, including Internet. As much as we would like to provide you with the service, the best thing we can do right now is to add you to our mailing list and we'd inform you immediately once TELUS services are already available in you location.".
Our address was NOT added to their database, at least according to the second order we placed (along with their online address validator). TELUS services are most certainly available in our area, our downstairs neighbour has TELUS services.
We placed a second, new, order for Internet 150 on October 3rd and was told that TELUS attempted to call but it was unsuccessful - we received no call - along with them saying "Please wait for us to call you again since we are currently in the process of registering your address.". Skip forward to October 26th, 23 days later, to a phone call saying that we should call the phone number provided with a reference number (also provided) if we are still interested in signing up, and that our referral is being closed.
