billing cycle

Cant get thru to Telus right now so maybe someone here would know. My billing cycle ends on November 10. I cancelled TV and Internet on October 13 to be effective end of billing. Yesterday i contacted mobility about cancelling. The retentions person (who did nothing to try to retain me) said something that did not register at the time. He said that Telus bills in advance so i owe nothing to Telus. It just occurred to me that this would also apply to TV and Internet? I was all set to pay my bill for Telus but now i am thinking i do not have to as i am already paid in full to November 10. Is this correct?
