The tech just installed tv and internet i have a few questions.
1. Were currently having an occasional lost signal for a CIS 330 upstairs. We had an electrician run cat 6e cable but it was a long run, the tech had it plugged into a zyxel switch since i had other ethernet connections used, from the switch he provided he plugged the other end upstairs into the wifi extender upstairs, and from the wifi extender another cable directly into the cis 330. I plugged the end going into the extender back directly into the modem, so far no drop out but i dont want to speak to soon, could it be a possible issue with a switch? He also had the pvr connected to a switch earlier (my own trendnet green switch just a cheap 8 port) and it kept breaking up. Is it possible you cannot hook it up to switch and if so why not?
If its not a switch issue then it might be the run.
2. Is there a way to set pvr default settings? for instance i like how you can hit record once or twice to set a series recording, but i only want the series record by default to record new episodes only, not reruns, right now its set to reruns.
