Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone would happen to know what the maximum attainable upload speed for Telus internet would be in my area of Red Deer.
I recently upgraded to the Telus Internet 25 plan which advertised as being up to 25/5 for the speed. Upon checking my modem I noticed that my rate is listed as 25/3 and tests at speedtest.net reflected the 25/3 speed. When it said "up to" I wasn't expecting the upload to be off by that much and the additional upload speed (Youtube) was the only reason I upgraded.
When I saw this I contacted Telus. The phone reps I spoke with said that 3Mbps is all my area was capable of (web chat said it was 2Mbps) and also said that 50/10 wasn't available in my area. So I checked the "Check Availability" section of the website and it seems to think that it is.
I'm a bit confused at the moment so I'm wondering if there is any way to find out which information they gave me is correct (if any) and what kind of speeds other Red Deer residents with Telus are getting.
