So, the previous administrators here (all wise and smart as a polished rock) decided to sign up my new company to a 7 year contract.
I can't even get my VP proper youtube streaming; so after tearing apart everything from my switches forward to my ASA's I have come to the conclusion Telus has just garbage peering. Our rep on top of us paying $10,000/month for services does not even return our phone calls.
Check this out.. i'll start at hop 3 to avoid angry Telus fanboys :

Not bad only 14 hard hops today; the other day was 17 but who cares right? Google.apps only hosts services for the 3m+ companies not like that's important.
Back in the day Telus (Advanced Communications) was the place to be; today it's just plain garbage and the war with Google over net neutrality is effecting customers.
Stay away from these people; i've now got lawyers looking over the contracts to see if we can break them over quality of service issues.
BTW called Shaw for a quote; got a return phone call in an hour with sample routes out to google.apps they all fall under 4 hops due to proper peering.
Screw Telus and DON'T allow them to get inside your network!
