In late 2018, I got the notice that fibre was now available at my address. I signed up for 300/300 online and the guy came out to do the install. He was here for a while and, I think, pulled the fibre through. Eventually he told me there was something up and he could not complete the install (I forget the details by now). He would have to talk to the networking team. They looked into it for many months and during this time the website stopped saying my address could get fibre.
Eventually I got a call saying all was good even though the website still said I could not get fibre at my address. I called in and the guy on the phone verified I could. While on the phone with me, he started getting the network team to do the last steps to allow the installation to proceed as their end would take a while. As we waited for the network team to finish, sadly, in the months since my initial signup, the price had increased drastically and they refused to honor the old price (or anything close to it). I told them to not bother and he got the network team to stop whatever they were doing. I ended up going with a different provider. So, the website continued to say fibre is not available at my house.
Now, working from home during this mess, I would really like the higher upload speeds available to fibre, but their website still states I can't get that. I can only get the 150mbps package. I've talked to 2 reps who both seem to just run the tool and think I can't get it. Now, it's a bit weird if I check online. There is a row of about 5 houses that it says fibre is not available to, but everything around it can get it (including a bunch of houses built at the same time as mine, by the same developer).
Is there any way to get someone to dig deeper into this for me? An email address or the like I can contact them at? I know they must be crazy busy right now but it would make my work a lot easier if I could get this done. No other provider in my area offers upload speeds even close.
Thanks!
