As Mascon is a subsidiary (Jan 2017) of Telus, might as well post their prices increase.
Mascon was expanding with fibre to the home before the Telus buyout, and is still continuing to deploy fibre. Mascon still has coaxial areas and wireless areas. They also oversee some other coaxial companies (Mercuryspeed and YourLink) that were bought by Telus as well. Ukee Cable (Ucluet) was bought by Telus in Nov 2016 and eventually closed down.

Price Adjustments – March 1st 2018
We want to notify you of some upcoming pricing changes to our internet and TV services effective March 1st 2018.
At Mascon, we are committed to offering you quality products and services at the best possible value. Over the last 2 years, Mascon has invested over $1 million to upgrade our network in order to provide the fastest, most reliable internet service available in our serving area and launch our New Digital Starter line up which offers more HD channels. We held the line on price increases for the last 2 years while we completed all these upgrades but now need to adjust some pricing.
Starting on March 2018 bills, the regular monthly rate for Internet and TV will each increase between $2 and $10 depending on package. There will be a monthly increase of $3 for each AirSpeed Wireless or WiMax product.

A lot has happened over the last few years with Mascon and Tofino. It seems like only yesterday the fastest internet speed in town was 1 Mbps, streaming Netflix was impossible and most of the town was still on analog TV. Fast forward and nearly everyone in Tofino has access to 150 Mbps internet, analog TV was replaced with Full HD and streaming is now possible. We are very proud of this evolution and appreciate all the support we received along the way.
We’re confident that you’ll be happy with internet and Optik TV services on the TELUS PureFibre network.
Thank you all for your support.
Sincerely,
Andrew, Darren, Malcolm and the Mascon Team
