So a few months ago I called Telus got them to replace my Actiontech V100H P.O.C with the Actiontech T1200H which is vastly Superior to the V1000H which drops WiFi and cant reach more then a few feet in my house. The T1000H actually penetrated practically the whole house and upstairs with out issue.
Now the fun begins, last week had service issues with TV tech came out swapped everything out including the T1200H and to my shock when i came home replaced it with another V1000H man was i peeved
between using Telus services at my in-laws and at my own place i probably had half a dozen Actiontech V1000H models sent to my location and all i had to do was hook it up myself. no charge for install or hardware
now.......
Today I talked to Telus in the online chat requesting the T1200H be deployed to me as i was much happier with that unit then the V2000H they just gave me they are telling me it will cost me 100 dollars to have a tech come out and hook it up but why should I pay? I never had to pay in the past nor did i have to have a tech come out they sent me the modem i plugged it in it worked. I am an IT professional who isn't able to afford to keep taking time off work for Telus and tercentenary has the intelligence to hook up a router. modem combo and make sure the TV works.
I seen what the techs do they come in hook up the modem turn on the TV bang everything works I am pretty sure that isn't that hard for me to do
Contract for Internet and TV is up in February about fed up with this treatment going to cut services
