Making a new thread to continue from this older thread, UBB trial start. https://secure.dslreports.com/forum/r29150886-ALL-UBB-Usage-Based-Billing-starts-June-1st Telus must feel confident that their meter actually works in a reliable manner to show factual data use. Too bad it still is not within a 24 hour window(Maybe Prince George is?) in order to avoid that week long delay in reporting usage, that it still has for me. Edit: Whoa, its now one day off. Wowee. Telus has updated their notice page http://www.telus.com/en/bc/get-help/service-updates-changes/internet-and-email/article.do?topic=&subtopic= that Prince George area users can expect to start paying overage(if they don't buy 'unlimited') in November 2014. Former start dates were June, then July, as much growling much of been heard from their customers. For select customers in Prince George, BC and surrounding areas, additional usage charges will apply for usage over your Internet plan’s monthly data allowance beginning on your November 2014 bill. Customers included in this trial will be notified through a message on their October Internet bill. For electronic copies of your bill, login to your TELUS Home Services account and select Download/Print on your TELUS e.Bill page. Additional Usage Total overage and Charge ---------- 0-50 GB $5 ---------- 50-100 GB $15 ---------- 100-150 GB $25 ---------- 150-200 GB $35 ----------- 200-250 GB $45 ---------- 250-300 GB $55 ------------ 300-350 GB $65 ------------ 350 GB and above $75 --------------------------------------- If you need more data, you may be able to upgrade your Internet plan. You can also subscribe to Unlimited Internet Usage on any of our Internet plans for $15 a month with at least three TELUS services, or $30 with one or two services. -- Electric/Gas meters are regulated by government, so why not Internet meters? It's still a consumable goods Knowledge and curiosity are not crimes and those who are curious should not be treated like criminals.. https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere
