Just wondering if this is possible. I have two Actiontec V1000H routers and I would like to share my connection through our coaxial jacks with my friends who are moving into a suite in the same building. That way we could share a file server and be able to afford the fastest Internet 50 package by us all splitting the cost.
The building looks like it was built in the 1970's so I assume in theory all one has to do is find the cable box and run a short cable from my suite to my friend's suite thus bridging the two suites together. Then all I would have to do is connect my V1000H's HPNA port to my cable jack and get my roommates to do the same thing and set my friend's router to some sort of "slave" or "recive" mode.
Am I on the right track? Is it even legal? I mostly just think it would be really cool and useful to share our music, movies, comics, and even play lan and old system link XBOX games without the issue of screen-peeking :p
