Alright so, I used to have the 500kb download package because they had no bandwidth limit and it's what I wanted, I detest bandwidth limits.
They bumped me to their 5mb package because they said they weren't offering the 500kb package in my area anymore, I asked them if they would apply the bandwidth limit because it's the only reason why I was still on their 500kb package, they said no.
Fast forward 4 years later, I download/upload about 800gb-1.8TB per month of stuff, mostly because I have a small hard drive and I am too lazy to get a bigger one so I just delete/redownload games whenever I wanna play them all the time, couple that with streaming/torrents/hosting servers, I usually end up around 900gigs of usage per month, since I have no bandwidth it's no problem right ?
Well, about a month ago I noticed my download speed being around the 25mb range instead of 5, didn't ask any question, never got called telling me anything so I went with it, but since I downloaded faster guess what I did ? I downloaded more!
Now I just received my bill, I now have a 250gb limit (also went and checked on their website and yeah the 25mb package has a 250gb limit) but I am well over it, ohhhhh boyyy. I am at 2.1TB of used bandwidth and I apparently owe them 16 grands, what in the actual fuck ?
I tried calling them and they just tell me that everything is right. With them never calling me and even sending me a mail telling me that my package was changed to something with a bandwidth, could I possibly make a complain to the Customer Protection Service, seeing as I live in Quebec I am pretty sure they cover that kind of stuff, no?
