Hi, I'm a Telus user living in Whistler, BC, been with Telus for about 10 years. Had a few issues here and there but Telus is always pretty good at sorting any problems we had out, so i have remained with Telus because i have been happy with there pricing, and service. However I have needed more upload speed for as long as I can remember, and Telus has been telling me high speed 25 should be available in my area soon for the last 2+ years. Every time they say that I say ok and i hope that it will eventually come.
Well I'm starting to get annoyed and i'm past the point of believing they are in any rush to upgrade my area's internet. I'm at the point where I either need to know when the upgrade will be happening by or i need to switch ISP's. I had a long talk with Shaw last night and I'm confident there broadband 100 service will be very good, however, I really don't wanna leave Telus if I don't have to.
So the other day i called Telus to speak with a supervisor and ask for a time frame, he said this was impossible, and that it cost money. This didn't make sense to me as they are planning on upgrading the entire province eventually anyway, and i am positive a dslam+ whatever Telus needs to install in order to give me this service will not put a dent in there pocket. I just feel like there are other places that probably have priority getting upgraded before mine and i don't know what to do other then to switch to Shaw. However I'm hoping maybe a Telus employee or 2 on this site might be able to help me out with this issue, cause id love to stay with Telus and i don't think the people on the phone knew what they were talking about, and id love to hear that it actually is possible to get my area upgraded soon, thanks, and above is some speed and ping tests of my current connection on the Telus 15. me want more upload!
