Questions about PureFibre installation

I'm getting ready for PureFibre installation. I have some questions that hopefully the veterans here can answer. Telus was in my neighbourhood on Friday. I wasn't home at the time, but the installer sent me a text message saying they were at my home to pull fibre from the vault to my demarc box. I checked when I got home and for some reason, they didn't get it done. I spoke to the installer later and he commented that the conduit was only 1" in diameter. Currently the conduit contains Telus copper and Shaw coax. If it's too small for fibre, will they remove the Telus copper to make room? I asked the installer when he would return to pull the fibre and he had no idea. It seems strange that they started to pull the fibre, but there is no plan to finish it. The Telus demarc box is on the outside wall of my garage. On a previous support call, a Telus tech provided me a 30 m fibre cable with SC connectors to run between the demarc box and the room where the modem is located. I'm already using keystone wall plates in the house so I would like to use a coupler, such as this: https://www.amazon.ca/Fiber-Keystone-Coupler-Simplex-Singlemode/dp/B07GDRGQ61 (see photo below), along with a patch cable from the wall to the gpon. Does Telus allow such couplers or will they insist on plugging the 30 m cable directly into the gpon? Also, will they splice the 30 m cable inside the demarc box or will they use a coupler? [att=1]
