I am looking to lease space in a warehouse in Coquitlam. I called Telus to check fibre availability and they say the only service available is 6 Mbps copper.
The funny thing is that in the electrical room there is a black cable coming out of the ground with a tag on it that says "Telus Fibre Optic Cable 24 Fibre SM/DC" the bottom of the tag says NTWK ####### (not posting the real value in case it is confidential).
The cable runs into a multi-port fibre patch panel which is labelled FPP ######. There are other stickers on the FPP which seem to reflect previous tenants along with a pair of numbers (e.g. 1,2 Company X) there is also a sticker saying 7-24 Dead which I assume means that only 6 of the 24 fibres in the cable are actually available.
Has anyone else experienced this sort of situation? How do I go about convincing the very useless call centre that Telus actually does have some type of fibre at this location?
