Hey Everyone,
So I’m currently using a Huawei B890 LTE hub from Telus, It surprisingly works really well with a consistent ping of 50ms and downloads of 20mbs. While I know it’s not amazing it does it’s job. My current issue is gaming. When I’m the only one on the network it’s fine, the moment someone loads a site tho the in game ping skyrockets to 1000ms when it’s normally 70ish.
Now when I speed test even when loading videos and such the ping is steady so I don’t think it’s connection problems, and I don’t think someone loading Instagram should use all the LTE bandwidth which leads me to believe is bufferbloat.
So is there a way to fix it? The B890 says it supports bridge mode so would connecting a router with better load management help? If that’s the case how do I get the B890 to bridge? I’ve searched and can’t find anything. I ran a Asus AC1900 setup and got it to connect to the Huawei but it said it had no internet, even tho there was internet to the B890.
