Earlier this year we moved into a fibre only community (+ Shaw Cable). There was the usual new home hurdles to overcome, and the Telus installation people had to be hard ball threatened, but the result has been more than satisfactory. The installation tech was superb, and let me help him with all the new wiring (cat 5E to each room). The fibre network performance has been nothing but extraordinary. The only shortcoming was the performance of the 2.4 GH WiFi network. But I already had my own WiFi router, so hooking that up solved that problem.
