Hi all,
My building will be getting Fibre installed soon and I have Internet as well as Optik TV with Telus. I currently have DSL with my T3200M running in Bridge Mode to my own router (TP-Link Archer C7) with just one Optik TV box connected to the T3200M, and all my other devices connected to the TP-Link router.
My problem: Once I have Fibre installed, can I continue to use bridge mode from Fibre ONT -> T3200M (Bridge mode?) -> Optik TV box ???
-> TP-Link router ???
Or is this setup impossible/not optimal once Fibre is installed (if the T3200M cannot act as bridge mode from Fibre ONT?) so I should buy a Gigabit Switch to put between the Fibre ONT and T3200M + TP-Link router?
Sorry if I seem like a noob, but if I should purchase a Gigabit Switch can anyone recommend me one that is inexpensive but decent, since I don't need advanced features.
(I heard that Telus supplied a Gigabit Switch to customers for free in the past? Not sure if this is true?)
Thanks!
