Losing IPv6 connectivity after 10 minutes

Telus Pure Fiber 250 Asus RT-AC66U_B1 using the latest offical firmware Hey everyone, I'm having a strange issue. Ever since around the latest Windows 10 (Redstone 4?) update I have been losing IPv6 about 10 minutes after Windows 10 boots up. This is happening on both my Windows 10 machines and both have the latest updates. After losing ipv6, I did a ipconfig /all and it still showed that i had ipv6 addresses / dns / etc. I was able to still ping my ipv6 address, but was NOT able to ping my ipv6 DNS address. I did a ipconfig /renew6 and immediately i got back ipv6 connection and was able to ping my DNSv6 IP again. However, after restarting the system I would lose it again after about 10 minutes. I have tried re-installing the latest intel network drivers, resetting winsock and tcpip and nothing worked. However, I went into my router and changed my IPv6 from Stateless to Stateful and everything is working 100% now. Any idea why I lose connection to IPv6 with Stateless and not Stateful? Which is better, Stateless or Stateful? Are there downsides to using either of them? Also while I am here ... Doing the test on http://ipv6-test.com is shows ICMP as filtered under the IPv6 connectivity section. It also follows it with a warning "Your router or firewall is filtering ICMPv6 messages sent to your computer. An IPv6 host that cannot receive ICMP messages may encounter problems like some web pages loading partially or not at all." Now (by default) my router does not filter these requests, but windows 10 firewall does. When I allowed the rule on the Win10 Firewall it passes 20/20 on the tests. Is it safe or recomended that I allow this rule on the firewall? My router felt is was safe to default allow those requests but windows didn't. Does filtering really hamper anything? Any help would be greatly appricated!
