Edit: June 25 2017 Looks like the page rewrites are in progress from the fibre.telus.com to telus.com/en/bc/internet/fibre/ And giving the faster speeds to more areas. Sometime by September? for the fastest speeds to hit all markets?
[att=1]
.
? Internet 150/150 at $75 in many areas ? Hey Telus... Where da fek did Internet-150 go? That's an affordable choice. and it's gone
There is a difference between "PureFibre" and "Fibre" areas, in regards to pricing and packages. Messy.
Eventually the old "fibre" pricing system will change to the new "purefibre" pricing system, with no 150/150
.
For the faster speeds and heavy usage... Don't forget the "unlimited" add-on for $15 extra https://www.telus.com/en/bc/internet/new/unlimited-data-usage
.
.
both of these links, towns shown, slightly differ at posting time Telus is updating their pages to remove the fibre.telus.com pages

Edit June 20 2017: For some reason, the maps on the fibre.telus.com pages have disappeared and replaced with 'enter your address'.
Maps are still on the telus.com/en/bc/internet/fibre/ pages.
----June 17 2017: Telus now is offering Gigabit Internet in some areas: 950/250
example: https://www.telus.com/en/bc/internet/fibre/terrace/products
Those areas pages that start with telus.com/en/bc/internet/fibre/ and not fibre.telus.com
--- As of end of May 2017 more areas are now getting 250/250 https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r31436508-Fibre-Internet-250-250-now-more-places-in-BC
edit: Telus also has fibre to the home in newly built areas of towns, that may not be shown on their list.

Edit: The Fibre optical Network Terminal (ONT) is the Telus modem. You can plug your personal router to the ONT and get service. If you also have Optik TV, you can plug gigabit switch to the ONT and use your router to one port with the Telus Actiontec to another port on the switch. You will get 2 WAN ip address (1 for each). Using your own router for both TV and Internet, you have to deal with TV multicast which can overwhelm your Wifi and shut down your router connectivity. You should also be able to use the Actiontec T series port1 bridge mode while on fibre.
The Telus call center script readers will not support anything beyond their all in one Actiontec gateway. So deal with your own issues with your equipment.
The ONT also has 2 POTS (plain old telephone service) ports for your phone, which can be adapted to connect to your current house phone lines if you don't have cordless phones.
The ONT install might not be supplied with a UPS(uninteruptable power supply) if you don't subscribe to Telus home phone. You can use your own UPS to power the ONT.
.
*** Depending on your local fibre infrastructure, some of these faster speeds may not be available in your area. ***
