Telus told the previous homeowner I was stealing his service.. sigh.

Can't get ahold of telus via the phone, since both cell phones in the house are on telus business anywhere.. which means when I call in, I can't get to home services - I go to business, who then transfers me and then promptly hangs up.. If I call the home service number, it goes to business.. stuck in a loop lol. Anyway, here's a fun story for friday :/ We bought a home and moved in in april. An installer came and installed our old service 150/150 and optik 4k boxes(works awesome btw). There was some initial problems due to a port or something - it was fixed the next day and no problems since. Today the previous homeowner calls me asking why we are stealing his service?! The previous homeowner got a bill -- even though he had cancelled before we moved in, that showed a huge overage (our data I assume) and when he called telus to find out what was going on, the CS rep told him that we were stealing his internet, and that he should come and collect the router from his old house. He had left the router and ont as the CS rep he called before he moved said to "leave everything screwed onto the wall there" The installer took the old router on the wall and installed the newer optik one when we moved in Anyway, you guys can imagine the call I get from him -- unhappy to say the least, and accusing us.. since some genius at telus told him we are stealing his internet and making huge overages. I've spoken to him quite a few times today trying to explain that no, we don't have his router and no, we're not stealing his internet lol and I still think he doesn't believe me. All because some brain surgeon at telus was sure we where stealing his account. I've sent telus an email, since apparently talking to anyone is impossible going from business anywhere to residential service. Telus has great service offerings to the point that up until now, it's been worth dealing with the CS issues. Even though I keep running into issues lol -- this is just way worse than the normal telus screwery. Two of our business locations had the public wireless AP's installed incorrectly -- one facing the wrong way, in a server room in a drop ceiling above two light fixtures screwed into the firewall (building that is) and the other one is STILL inside a utility room that's concrete on all sides except for a solid metal door. Like the dude actually installed a board (which was nice!) and then mounted the unit onto it lol. I had one of the incorrectly installed units fixed, and they managed to delete our static IP addresses on our business ont and not the public unit -- that was a fun outage for an afternoon. Anyway, I don't really have anything to ask.. just sharing in my grief :( So it's like, yeah I could switch to shaw, but the telus service itself is great :/ Is that what drug addicts say? sigh.
