I also signed up for Optik TV (wife demanded it, otherwise I'd probably have cut the cord). I didn't realize they were installing 4K wireless set top boxes, and I'm actually impressed they can stream lagless, 4K TV through my house from the new router. I also like that it frees up my TV positoning a bit, as I don't need to run coax to the TV anymore. Anyway, it's a big upgrade for me and I'm happy so far.
Other bonus, I didn't realize Optik TV had apps built in (like Netflix etc...). I don't know if Shaw has similar services, but I didn't care. After 20+ years, it was time to switch, especially since I upload video for work, and the mirrored UL/DL speed was very attractive to me.
