My billing cycle begins on the 4th of the month. Starting on July 25th, I received a notification that I had used 75% of the 450 GB allowance. On the 31st, the email said I was at 95%. On August 2nd, the email said I had exceeded the allowance. I finished up the month having used 295 GB of the 450 GB allowance according to the Telus website. I can see that there might be a slight discrepancy due to the timing of the email, but this is grossly incorrect. I saved some screen captures along the way in case Telus denied what was being reported on the website. When I received the email that I had exceeded the allowance, I called Telus to raise this issue. Fortunately, they were seeing the same usage that I was seeing online. However, they had no explanation why I was receiving the erroneous emails. You would think that since Telus is billing people for exceeding the allowance, they should at least have a reliable system in place to track usage. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing.
